With our design help and access to vast libraries of woven and printed silk designs we can create custom ties and accessories for your wedding or event. We will discuss your design needs with you, and decide on the products that best suit your requirements.
Maybe you would like gift ties for all the groomsmen in your chosen wedding colours, or pocket squares printed with the event date or the couples initials. We can offer initials of the bride and groom, a family crest, a design based around something important to you, or the colours of your club or organisation. Whatever you need there will be a way that we can make it happen.
These one of kind custom pieces will be shipped in Thomas Fortin presentation boxes. We can either deliver them to you for you to hand out in person or we can send them to individual addresses that you provide.

Keep in mind that production from start to finish can take at least 8 weeks, a bit longer if you're ordering sample swatches so don't leave it too late - start the process as soon as you can!

Which accessories?
First think about which accessories will best suit your event or corporation. We can produce almost any design in printed or woven silk including:

How many do you need?
We work with printers and weavers who can produce very small runs of fabric. The more items you need the more economical it becomes. See below for an idea of some of the smallest runs of items that we can offer.

Printed or Woven?
Any design can be printed on various weights of silk twill. Different weights of silk are used to suit different products. We can discuss your needs and decide on an appropriate weight of silk.

Woven silks are more luxurious, usually thicker and more robust to the touch, and require more design input to work out which colour threads will be needed to attain the desired colour and effect of the silk. Woven silks can be smooth and have a sheen or more textured and matte.

Choose or create your own design
Thomas Fortin has access to thousands of historical and contemporary designs that can be recoloured to your specifications or you can start from scratch and have our designers create something 100% bespoke for you.
We can email you archive patterns or new designs to get an idea of what you like and then have them recoloured in photoshop before creating a sample swatch.
(brand new designs incur an extra design cost)

Create your sample swatch
Once you have decided on your design we'll have a swatch blanket woven or printed for you showing your design in different print or thread colours. From this swatch you can choose your final fabric for your chosen accessories.

Production time
Printing and weaving times can be anywhere between 2 and 4 weeks. Once the fabric is ready, making time is 3-4 weeks so please allow at least 8 weeks for a completed product after your final design and colour way has been decided.

Final presentation and shipping
When we receive your final product at our office in Bath, UK, we can send them in bulk to you or send them out individually (postage costs will be added to final invoice) We package each in our Thomas Fortin presentation box. If you'd like a personal message included in each box we can provide that as well.
