This tie draws upon the bold visual language that emerged during the early decades of the twentieth century. Its repeating motif of circles and sweeping arcs evokes the optimism of an age captivated by progress, engineering and modern design.
The silk is woven by Stephen Walters of Sudbury, one of Britain's most distinguished silk mills. Weaving silk in Suffolk since the eighteenth century, Stephen Walters has supplied fabrics for generations of designers, tailors and ceremonial occasions, preserving a remarkable tradition of British textile craftsmanship.
Available in a classic navy ground or this striking inverted silver version, each tie is cut and handmade in England, being finished with our signature Thomas Fortin tipping, an original 1906 menswear fashion plate, a small detail that connects every tie to the era that continues to inspire much of our collection.
